This is Islay Sponge Part VI. It’s a 13 year old lightly sherried Caol Ila, cooked up by smooshing together a 2009 refill sherry hogshead and a 2010 1^st fill sherry hogshead. 

The resulting potion was bottled with a couple of degrees reduction at 53% to help knit everything together. It makes for a superbly peaty and rich dram, full of up front distillery character with an elegant tinting of sherry over everything.  

Please take large mouthfuls of this super Caol Ila while emitting loud, evil cackles in the manner of an unhinged, but irrefutably talented middle-aged artist about to do their best work. Please make sure some of it courses down your chin in smoky, viscous rivulets in a way which onlookers cannot help but find both disturbing and captivating.
