Knob Creek x The Whisky Explorer Society Single Barrel No.20517
The Whisky Explorer Society Knob Creek Single Barrel โ 9 Year Old
Bottled at 60% ABV / 120 Proof
Nose
Rich caramel and vanilla lead on the nose, supported by toasted oak and brown sugar. Classic Knob Creek nuttiness shows as roasted peanut and peanut brittle, with hints of dried fruit, candied cherry, and warm baking spice. With time in the glass, notes of light tobacco, barrel char, and a touch of maple syrup sweetness emerge.
Palate
The palate is full-bodied and oily, opening with toffee, caramel, and honey crisp apples layered over honeyed oak. Roasted peanut and pecan carry through with vanilla bean, dark brown sugar, cinnamon, and a hint of orange peel and cherry.
Finish
The finish is long and warming, with lingering oak, barrel char, caramel, peppery spice, leather and tobacco. Just wow.
