Indri Dru Cask Strength Indian Single Malt 57.2% ABV
This Indian single malt gets its name ‘Indri’ from the Sanskrit word for the five senses. It was distilled and matured in northern India where it was selected from hand-picked ex-bourbon casks. The extreme temperature of the northern plains has sped-up the maturation process and has imparted notes of butterscotch, vanilla, toffee and coconut alongside tropical fruit flavours.
For me, this is an exceptional example of a rich and complex Indian whisky. I love the texture, the layers of exotic fruit flavours, the rich mouthfeel, and the fact it keeps developing the longer the whisky spends in the glass. It's one of my go-to picks for Indian whisky.Jason Vaswani, The Whisky Exchange
