The palate as irresistible as the nose; a mountain of sensual fruits, slightly jammy, the determined surge of raspberry, cherry, rounded substance, smoothness, a rare opulence, all without the slightest effort, totally natural; and the obvious conclusion – you could drink litres of it. We’re reminded of the 1999 vintage, even if this is much more concentrated, due to the disconcerting ease in drinking these wines, to the obvious maturity, the frankness of the fruit; a delight.
