Chateau Bonalgue 2016 750ml
Bonalgue spans 6.5 hectares of sandy-clay gravel soils at the western edge of Pomerol. The subsoils consist of a mix of gravel and iron-rich clay ("crasse de fer"), typical of the Pomerol region. On this warm and early-ripening terroir, the grapes regularly reach impressive levels of ripeness. In 1982, Pierre Bourotte and Michel Rolland recognized Bonalgue’s quality potential and laid the foundations for a modern style: very ripe grapes producing silky wines with highly expressive aromas.
