Maison Brotte Laudun Chateau de Bord 2018

Bord Elegance possesses minerality and a delightfully exotic character. It shows a lovely freshness, a precise and persistent structure, from the excellent Cotes-du-Rhone Villages Laudun AOC that is producing increasingly good quality wines.

In its early youth, the nose is fresh with green apple and citrus aromas and a touch of hazelnut. After a year of cellar-ageing, the notes of apricot come to the fore on the first nose which then goes on to develop notes of honey, vanilla and sweet almonds along with aromas of lovely ripe mango and a floral touch of jasmine and acacia.

When young, the wine is fresh on entry and continues with a lovely balance of roundness and acidity set off by hints of citrus and fresh summer fruit. After a year of cellar-aging, the palate becomes even more harmonious and complex with ripe yellow fruit, acacia honey, vanilla and lemon peel flavours.
