Barbacan Valtellina Sup. Jazpemi 2019 750ml

Barbacan Valtellina Superiore Jazpemi is a red wine from the Valtellina region of Italy, made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Jazpemi vineyard:
Grapes: Made from 100% Chiavennasca grapes, also known as Nebbiolo
Vineyard: The grapes come from the Jazpemi vineyard in Valgella, which was planted in the 1930s on steep slopes
Production: The grapes are harvested manually in October and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 12 months in large Austrian oak barrels.
Tasting notes: Aromas of red fruit, cherry, raspberry, spices, dried fruit, and mineral hints. On the palate, it's warm and elegant with smooth tannins and a nice acid texture.
Food pairing: Pairs well with lamb
